  • Chicken – 250gms
  • Raw Mango – 2 (Medium sized)
  • Onions – 100gms
  • Green Chillies – 50gms
  • Coriander seeds (Dhaniya) – 1 Tsp
  • Cumin (Jeera) – 1 Tsp
  • Poppy Seeds (Khus Khus) – 1 Tsp
  • Ginger Garlic Paste – 2 Tsp
  • Red Chilli powder – 1/2 Tsp
  • Cooking Oil – 150gms
  • Turmeric powder
  • Salt

Methods for Preparing Mango Chicken Curry:

  1. Clean the chicken thoroughly and cut into desired size pieces.
  2. Peel of the skin of the mangoes with the help of a peeler.
  3. Grate the two mangoes and take it into a plate.
  4. Chop the green chillies in fine pieces and take into a separate plate.
  5. Grind the coriander seeds, cumin seeds, and poppy seeds together and take them into a separate plate.
  6. Take a kadai, and add cooking oil. Heat it on a medium flame.
  7. Add red chilli powder, and ginger-garlic paste to it and fry slightly.
  8. Now add the chicken pieces to it and fry them.
  9. Add grated mango to it and mix well.
  10. Add finely chopped green chilly pieces, and ground coriander, cumin seeds, and poppy seeds powder to it and mix well.
  11. Now add turmeric powder, and salt to it and mix well.
  12. Add some water to the mixture, and allow it for cooking (for about 15 minutes) on a simmer flame.
  13. Once it is well cooked, switch off the stove and take it into a bowl.
  14. Your Mango chicken curry is ready for serving.

  • Besan powder – 1 Tsp
  • Garam Masala Powder – 1/2 Tsp
  • Jeera Powder – 1 Tsp
  • Ajwain – 1 Tsp
  • Chicken Broth Powder – 2 Tsp
  • Cooking Oil
  • Salt
  • Mint Leaves – A few (for garnishing)

Method for Preparing Fish Tikka Recipe:

  1. Clean the fish thoroughly, and cut it into medium pieces or small pieces.
  2. Take a bowl and add lemon juice, curd, ginger-garlic paste, mustard oil, mustard powder, ajwain, red chilli paste, besan powder, garam masala, jeera powder, and chicken broth powder. Mix them well.
  3. Now add fish pieces to it and apply the mixture thoroughly to them.
  4. Leave them for 10minutes for marination.
  5. Take a frying pan and add cooing oil to it.
  6. Heat it on a medium flame.
  7. Now add the marinated fish pieces to it and fry them on both sides till they turn in brown color.
  8. Take them into a plate and garnish them with mint leaves.
  9. Your delicious fish tikka is ready to get served.

In this recipe, chicken is stuffed in a potli (small pouch) made of wheat dough, for this reason this recipe is known by the name.   • Boneless chicken – 250gms
  • Chopped Beans – 3 Tsp
  • Chopped Carrot – 3 Tsp
  • Chopped Onion Stems – 3 Tsp
  • Finely Chopped tomato – 1
  • Soya Sauce – 2 Tsp
  • Black Pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Maida – 1 Cup
  • Milk – 3 Tbsp
  • Lemon juice – 1 Tsp
  • Red Chilli powder – As per the taste
  • Salt – As per the taste
  • Cooking Oil

Method for Preparing Potli Chicken:

  1. Clean the chicken thoroughly and chop it into fine small pieces.
  2. Take a plate and add maida and milk to it. Mix them well and make dough out of it. Keep it aside.
  3. Take a pan and add cooking oil to it. Heat it on a medium flame.
  4. Now add the chopped beans, carrot and onion stems to it and fry it.
  5. Next add tomato pieces, finely chopped chicken pieces, soya sauce, black pepper powder, red chilli powder, and salt to it and fry them. Once cooked enough switch off the stove.
  6. Meanwhile make small balls out of the maida dough. Roll them in palm sized round sheets.
  7. Now place a table spoon of prepared chicken mixture in the center of the maida roll and bring the edges in the shape of potli (pouch). Now tie the opening with string made of the maida dough.
  8. Similarly prepare the remaining chicken stuffed maida potlis.
  9. Take a frying and add cooking oil to it. Heat it on a simmer flame.
  10. Once the oil gets warm enough, add these potlis to it and deep fry them till they turn into golden brown color.
  11. Once they are cooked enough, take them into a plate covered with paper napkin, as this will absorb the extra oil.
  12. Once the extra oil is absorbed, take them into a separate plate.
  13. Your Potli Chicken – Murg Potli recipe is ready to get served. Serve them with tomato sauce or pudiney ka chutney.

  • Khova – 200gms
  • Sugar – 2 Cups
  • Ghee – 1Tbsp
  • Elaichi Powder – 1 Tsp
  • Water – 2 Cups
  • Chopped Baddam – 1 Tbsp
  • Chopped Pista – 1 Tbsp
  • Saffron – Little

Method to Prepare Coconut Burfi Recipe:

  1. Take a pan. Add 2 cups sugar and water to it.
  2. Heat it on a medium flame.
  3. Once the sugar syrup becomes slightly thicker switch off the stove and keep the pan aside.
  4. Take a pan and fry chopped baddam and pista pieces in it.
  5. Now add ground coconut to it and fry for 5 minutes.
  6. Next add Ghee to to it and mix well.
  7. Reduce the flame to low.
  8. Next add the khova to the mixture and fry.
  9. Next add milk to it and mix well.
  10. Add Elaichi powder and saffron to it and mix well.
  11. Now add the kept aside sugar syrup to the mixture and stir it continuously.
  12. Cook the mixture until it becomes thick.
  13. Switch off the stove and pour this mixture on a ghee greased plate.
  14. After the mixture gets cooled, put it in deep-freeze for 1 hour
  15. With this deep-freezing, the mixture becomes somewhat hard.
  16. Now cut it into pieces.
  17. Your Coconut burfi is ready to get served.

  • Milk -1/2 cup
  • Sugar – 1/2 cup
  • Water – 1/2 cup
  • 3 or 4 Crushed cardamom
  • Finely slivered Almonds

Method for Preparing Milk Peda:

  1. Take a heavy bottomed vessel, and heat the milk in it on a medium flame till boiling point.
  2. Stir it continuously till it forms into khoya.
  3. Now add sugar to it and mix well.
  4. Lower the flame otherwise it tends to burn.
  5. Cook it until the mixture leaves the sides of the vessel.
  6. Now leave the mixture for cooling.
  7. Once it gets cool, add cardamom powder and mix it well.
  8. Grease a plate. Now take the mixture and make some ball.
  9. Flatten these balls slightly by pressing with a spoon.
  10. Keep them on a greased plate.
  11. Press piece of finely slivered almond on it for decoration.


Appam Recipe

Appam is wonderful dish from the state Kerala. It is not only popular in Kerala, but also in Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka. This is one type pancake, which is generally served in breakfast and sometimes in dinner too. Appam goes very well with sweetened coconut milk, and even with coconut chutney.

Preparing appam is a long process. More time is required for preparing batter. It is best to start the process today afternoon around 3PM, if you want to eat it tomorrow. It is long process, but worth waiting for such long time. Here is the method for cooking Appam recipe at home.

Ingredients Required for Preparing Appam:

  • Brown Rice – 1 Cup
  • Boiled Rice – 1 Cup
  • Black Gram (Urad Dal) – 3 TBSP
  • Fenugreek (Methi) – 1/4 TSP
  • Sugar – 1/ TBSP
  • Coconut Milk – 1 Cup
  • Coconut Water – 1 TSP
  • Baking Soda – 1/4 TSP
  • Salt – Little As Per Your Taste

Required Steps for Appam:

  1. Take a bowl and add brown rice, urad dal, and methi. Now add sufficient water.
  2. Take another bowl and add boiled rice to it. Add sufficient water to it.
  3. Cover the bowls and keep them aside for about 6 hours.
  4. After 6 hours drain the extra water in both the bowls.
  5. Now add soaked brown rice plus methi, coconut milk, coconut water, and soaked boiled rice to grinder jar.
  6. Grind the mixture until it becomes soft batter.
  7. Now take this grinded batter into separate bowl and add sugar, and salt to it. Mix the batter well.
  8. Now cover the bowl and keep it aside for soaking whole night.
  9. In the morning, check the batter. It should be somewhat thick (should be slightly thicker than dosa batter.
  10. If the batter is too thick, then add little coconut water or drinking water and mix well.
  11. Now add baking soda to it, mix well and leave it aside for about 20 minutes.
  12. Now take a pan and warm it on simmer flame now couple of seconds. Now add ghee to it and spread it across the pan.
  13. Now with help of a round spoon take some batter and spread it on the pan. (Just like dosa.)
  14. Pour some ghee on it and cover it with a lid.
  15. Once it is baked properly remove the lid and take appam into a plate.
  16. Prepare more appams with the remaining batter.
  17. Your appam is ready to eat. Serve it hot with sweetened coconut milk or coconut chutney.

  6. Pour this mixture this in chocolate moulds and deep-freeze them.

Method For Preparing Chocolate Lava Cake:

  1. Firstly take a kadai and heat it on simmer.
  2. Next add 3 table spoons to it and once it starts melting add 160grms of chocolate to it.

  4. Now add 4 table spoons of sugar, two eggs, and 1 and 1/2 tea spoon vanilla extract and stir well.

  7. Bake them in a preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes under 220°C.
  8. Once baked, remove the cups from oven and keep them aside for cooling.
